Alverata is a contemporary typeface drawn from roots in Romanesque capital inscriptions, both early and from the 11th and 12th centuries. It bears clear traces of early 20th century typefaces, yet is not an imitation of either. It is paired with Galaxie Polaris. This typeface was literally created with a lot of love. Chester Jenkins created it for his fiancée Tracey's thesis, who later became his wife.
